Operations Support’s sole responsibility is to support the operational duties of the Nauru Police Force for the betterment of the Republic of Nauru, keeping our borders safe and Nauru free from COVID-19.
Operations Support Units include the Presidential roles of Aide de Camp, (ADC) and Close Personal Protection (CPP), along with the Diplomatic Guarding Unit (DGU) and Police Protective Services (PPS).
The Police Protective Services Unit is the Government of Nauru’s response to the global pandemic and part of its “Capture and Contain” strategy that has ensured that Nauru remains, as it has from the very beginning of the pandemic to date, COVID-free.
PPS is formed with the exclusive task of providing protective services at the country’s quarantine transit station residences at Meneñ, Anibare and Anabar, and employs a 90-strong force of Police Reserve Officers.
